On becoming a member of our bank, you're not just a customer, you're an owner!
Australian Mutual Bank launched its first-ever Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), officially unveiled during a special celebratory occasion, on the 13th of July 2023. This milestone marks our dedication to strengthening connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and enhancing our cultural understanding.
Australian Mutual Bank's Reflect RAP is not just a document or a set of goals; it represents our commitment to understanding, respecting, and honouring the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations peoples. We firmly believe that by acknowledging the past, listening to the present, and working together towards a shared future, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
We understand that true reconciliation requires action, and we are dedicated to driving positive change within our organisation and the broader community.
By focusing on four key pillars - Relationships, Respect, Opportunities, and Governance - the RAP provides a comprehensive framework that will guide our actions and measure our impact. We are determined to foster genuine partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, embed cultural awareness and respect within our organisation, create employment and business opportunities, and continuously monitor and evaluate our progress to ensure accountability and transparency.
At Australian Mutual Bank, we believe that reconciliation is everyone's responsibility, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Together, we can build a more inclusive, just, and harmonious society that celebrates and values the diverse cultures and contributions of all Australians. We encourage you to explore our RAP document to learn more about commitments and how you can actively participate in making a difference.
